General Requirements

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university
  • Obtained an overall undergraduate average of 70% Canadian equivalent or higher
  • Submit scanned original copies of transcript
  • Submit scanned original copy of degree completion certificate

As a student studying in the Post Baccalaureate program, your classes will take place in the centre of Sydney’s downtown core at our off-campus Cineplex classroom location, giving you access to lots of amenities and services in the surrounding area. Our goal is to help you become a valuable employee, or build a valuable business with proper organizational priorities, business competencies and initiative. At CBU, you develop these skills and more, such as the ability to integrate technical knowledge and theoretical concepts of management, while also learning extensively about operations and finances. Our professors have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their related fields of business and are always open to helping improve your learning experience.

  • Understand the effect of external environments (political, legal, market, sector) on business
  • Use managerial accounting to make resource management decisions that maximize value
  • Conduct industry analysis, identify opportunities and propose product/services offerings

Experiential Learning Opportunities

  • INTERNSHIP
    • Optional up to 16 work placement option. Potential employers include: 
      • McDonalds
      • Sobeys
      • RBC
      • SPCA
      • Walmart
    • 19.7% of students enrolled secure an internship
    • 49 internships completed each semester approximately 
  • CAPSTONE PROJECT
    • Optional capstone project that reflects real-world knowledge. The capstone project provides opportunities to work with nonprofits, small businesses and entrepreneurs. Organizations include:
      • Bras D’Or Lakes Biosphere
      • Soulvaria Entertainment
      • Racer X
    • 200 capstone projects completed each semester on average

92% of graduates retain employment with their internship employer.
