Work closely with the Front Desk staff, Management and other departments in providing guest assistance with luggage, transportation, resort information, and miscellaneous needs. As a Bell Person you will share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will play a key role in the arrival and departure experience of our guests and display a consistent commitment to providing incredible service.
Core Accountabilities:
- Greet all guests at the main entrance of the resort in a warm and professional manner, open the door to their vehicle and making them feel welcome and anticipate their needs before they arise
- Recognize and welcome all new and returning guests with “Welcome to Cabot” or “Welcome back to Cabot Mr./Mrs./etc.”
- Escort all guests checking in to their accommodations following hotel procedure, inform them about all room features, resort facilities and emergency procedures
- Assist guests with their luggage and acknowledge them by name
- Valet duties as required including parking guest vehicles
- Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed
- Manage traffic flow in the parking areas
- Store and retrieve luggage, golf clubs and other objects for guests
- Store and retrieve rental clubs for guests
- Be aware of daily hotel activities, group and VIP arrivals. Communicate special guest requests to the Guest Services Supervisor
- Ensure the lobby, shelter and work areas are clean and presentable at all times
- Offer assistance to all guests and provide them with information requested and directions, escorting the guest whenever possible
- Offer assistance with transportation requests
- Comply with Cabot health and safety legislation
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Assist with bike rental process as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and provide a clear driver’s abstract; ability to drive automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to drive standard is an asset
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing and crouching while performing other duties
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs
