At the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR), we manage 23,000 kilometres of roads and highways and 4,100 bridges across Nova Scotia. Our District Highway Operations Division plays a critical role in managing snow and ice control services, road maintenance and repair services throughout the province.
As the Administrative student, you will gain practical experience and receive training and mentorship from highly qualified public service professionals. This is the perfect opportunity to jump start your career and gain an understanding of the provincial government.
You will assist staff with a wide range of administrative duties, which support the Eastern District’s highway operations and contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the District by:
There will be opportunity for you to participate in and collaborate with various staff on special projects or assignments; helping you further enhance and develop your skills.
You are currently enrolled as a business administration student and returning to school in the fall (or in the next applicable semester for the education program).

This opportunity will start approximately May 3, 2021 with an end date of September 3, 2021.
Pay Grade: HOURLY
Salary Range: $16.50 – $26.90 Hourly
