Reporting To:  Executive Director

Purpose: The CBU Students’ Union is currently seeking an individual to fill the student position of Pride & Ally Centre Outreach Coordinator beginning in September 2025. This position is designed to plan and create initiatives for the education and equality of 2SLGBTQAI+ students on-campus.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan events and activities focusing on the needs of our 2SLGBTQAI+ students in collaboration with the PAC Outreach Coordinator
  • Actively recruit volunteers, creating and maintaining a volunteer database
  • Ensure the Pride & Ally Centre remains a safe and confidential environment for all 2SLGBTQAI+ students on campus
  • Oversee services offered out of the Pride & Ally Centre, and that they are running smoothly and efficiently such as any peer mentoring programs
  • Assist the PAC Outreach Coordinator with managing the Centre’s social media accounts, as well as promote events, activities, and services
  • Maintain and update the PAC resource library and all reference materials
  • Submit a monthly report of activities to the Executive Director.
  • Other duties assigned by the Executive Committee

Qualifications:

  • Must be a member of the CBU Students’ Union as outlined in By-law 1.01 and registered CBU student no later than the first week in September 2025
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capable of operating office equipment (fax machine, photocopier, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to work within a budget
