About the Job
Successful candidate will help to develop and implement social media strategies (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) to encourage recruitment of Domestic MBA applicants, while providing integral information to current MBA students. Successful candidate will work with the MBA Program Assistant to develop a plan for the upcoming Academic Year.
To be successful in this position you should:
- Be someone who stays on top of current social media and cultural trends Have confidence working behind and in front of the camera.
- Be someone who is a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.
- Be self-motivated and driven – you work well in a team environment but are also able to work effectively independently.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Be creative and initiating to find possible areas of marketing of the program through online/offline channels as well as partnerships with internal/external teams.
- Applicants should have experience in: Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Canva, Social Media Management (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
Duties:
- Develop and implement informative, engaging content, for MBA social media channels and other purposes: email updates, blogs, advertisements, newsletters, social media, etc.
- Compile relevant weekly and monthly social media audit reports.
- Daily management of all digital channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.).
- Based on careful examination of analytics, trends and marketing updates – suggest innovative ways to grow the brand online and offline.
- Develop informative infographics for digital and print purposes.
- Coordinate with external teams, videographers/photographers, CBU Staff, etc. for specific campaigns or tasks.
- Manage MBA landing page, regular updates/edits for maintaining professional identity of the program online.
- Develop marketing strategies for recruitment activities for off-site venues of the MBA program.
- Initiate partnerships with internal and external teams with partner institutions and leverage cross-marketing campaigns to drive enrollment.
- Develop outreach campaigns to Alumni from all programs for marketing of the MBA program.
- Also, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in communication, including coursework
- Experience creating social media content and managing social media accounts
Eligibility:
Must be enrolled full time at Cape Breton University and in good academic standing.
