Cape Breton Newcomer Primary Care Clinic

Nova Scotia Health and Cape Breton University have partnered to create a primary health care clinic for newcomers in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM), by referral only. The clinic provides timely access to safe and culturally sensitive care for those without a permanent primary care provider (physician or nurse practitioner). The clinic is located within the Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling.

This clinic is for residents of all ages who are:

  • New to Canada within the last five years
  • Living in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality
  • Without a primary care provider

To book an appointment, a referral is required from the following partners:

To obtain a referral, please reach out directly to these community partners. Once the clinic receives the referral, patients will be contacted with an appointment time.
