Bilynda Whiting

University Registrar and Director of Admissions

Bilynda Whiting is the University Registrar and Director of Admissions at Cape Breton University. Bilynda holds a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies from Memorial University. She has over 20 years’ work experience in post-secondary education and has worked in the areas of academic advising, enrolment, student retention, student persistence, staff development and career development. As the University Registrar and Director of Admissions she oversees Admissions, Registration, Student Records, Student Finance, Scholarships, Academic Calendar/scheduling and Convocation. Throughout her career in higher education, she has been involved in the implementation of systems and processes to improve the student experience. Bilynda has also served as former President Elect, President and Past President of the Atlantic Association of College and University Student Services (AACUSS) and various other roles on the executive.
