Jacquelyn Thayer Scott, OC, PhD, LL.D, Dipl

Dr. Jacquelyn Thayer Scott, Cape Breton University President Emerita, served as President & Vice-Chancellor at CBU for nearly ten years and as a professor in the Shannon School of Business and the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development for 24 years.

Dr. Scott is an Officer of the Order of Canada and holder of the Lieutenant-Governor’s Gold Medal for Administrative Excellence. She has served on multiple governing and senior advisory boards locally, nationally and internationally in private, government and non-profit sectors. She also held appointments at the University of Manitoba and the University of Toronto.

Currently, Dr. Scott is the Chief Operating Officer of Airesun Global Ltd.,
