Kerri Fernandez

Field Education Lead

Kerri Fernandez is the Field Education Lead for the Bachelor of Social Work Program at Cape Breton University. She has extensive experience working with youth and families within a variety of systems in the US and Canada. Being a social worker for over 20 years, Kerri has experience working in a variety of settings including school social work, child welfare, early childhood development and urgent care mental health services. She holds her Master of Social Work from University of Central Florida and is a proud CBU alumni having studied in the Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies program in the 90’s. In 2022, she returned to CBU as a BSW Program Development Consultant to assist with the development of the new Bachelor of Social Work Program at CBU.
