Rebecca Jones

Assistant Professor

Rebecca is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Assistant Professor at CBU. She holds a Master of Nursing, Generalist degree with a teaching focus from Athabasca University (2020) and a Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BScN) degree with an Advanced Major in Nursing from Cape Breton University (2014). Her clinical expertise includes emergency/critical care, geriatrics, and forensic/sexual assault nursing. She has successfully completed her Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Adult/Adolescent Curriculum Certification and her Emergency Nursing Program (ENP) Certification. Rebecca is currently enrolled in the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) program through Childbirth International. Rebecca’s program of research focuses on breastfeeding and lactation support, specifically understanding patients’ breastfeeding experiences to enhance future clinical support models.
