Samiul Islam

Samiul Islam is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Financial and Information Management, Shannon School of Business, Cape Breton University. He completed his PhD from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto Ontario, Canada. He did his MSc in Data Science and Analytics from Ryerson University. He worked at the Data Science Lab of the same University. Before that, Samiul Islam worked as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, Najran University, Najran, KSA. His research interests comprise Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Science and Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, Text Classification, and Sentiment Analysis. He has received some research awards in the past few years. Samiul’s research is supported by internal grants in addition to external grants such as grants from SSHRC.
