Accounting Clerk

Cape Breton University (CBU) is looking for Accounting Clerk in the Finance Department. This is a Full-Time Continuing role.

The successful candidate will support various accounting functions including processing Accounts Payable vouchers, managing wire transfers, and handling non-student accounts receivable. The Accounting Clerk is responsibilities will also include providing reception services and backup support in areas such as Cash Receipting, Purchasing, and Banking.

Qualifications of this role is a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and a foundational understanding of accounting principles, with at least one year of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in MS Office, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently are essential. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, good judgment, and effective collaboration with university staff.
