The Department of Marketing and Management in the Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will commence July 1st, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter) or January 1, 2025.

The Shannon School of Business delivers an array of popular programs, including two undergraduate programs, four Post-Baccalaureate Diploma programs, and an MBA in Community Economic Development.
CBU is seeking collaborative candidates with demonstrated evidence of effective teaching and research in Marketing with a particular attention to sales and sales management. Depending on qualifications and experience, courses assigned may include sales and sales management, marketing channels, strategic management, and other marketing courses.
Candidates should have a minimum of a doctoral degree in marketing or a closely related field from an accredited University. Candidates who are in the later stages of their PhD may be considered at the rank of Lecturer with the successful completion of the PhD being a condition of employment.
CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line. The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
