CBU invites applications for the Campus Security Officer, Emergency Management & Security Services. This is a full time continuing position.
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Emergency Management & Security Services, the successful candidate is responsible for creating and fostering a safe and open campus community which includes education and the promotion/enforcement of university regulations relating to safety and security.
The successful candidate is responsible for promoting and ensuring the personal health and safety of employees, students, and visitors as well as buildings on campus or associated with CBU. The successful candidate will also investigate occurrences, prepare reports, engage with their community, participate in regular foot patrols and participate in the delivery of educational programs for students and employees.
This is an active, physically demanding position responding to emergencies, requests for assistance, traffic/parking control and enforcement of CBU policies. Regular shifts include days, nights and weekends.
