CBU invites applications for the Communications and Brand Specialist, Indigenous Initiatives. This is a full-time continuing position.
The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of communications and brand recognitions strategies for Unama’ki College and the In.Business program. This person will also work closely with University Affairs, specifically the Marketing Department, to promote awareness of Indigenous programs and services at Cape Breton University and will more efficiently share Indigenous knowledge and deepen understanding of L’nu/Indigenous ways of knowing, with both external learners and stakeholders as well as the internal campus community.
Reporting directly to the Dean, Unama’ki College, with dotted line reporting to the Strategic Communications department, the successful candidate will also dedicate specific attention to the work of Unama’ki College and In.Business. This position will regularly collaborate with the staff and students involved with Unama’ki College and In.Business and assume responsibility for development and delivery of communication strategy, plan, and programs for Unama’ki College and the broader university-wide Indigenous dimension to ensure support of the targets, goals, and objectives of CBU and Unama’ki College strategic plans.
Worksite may include CBU’s Membertou Office.
