CBU invites applications for the Community Engagement Lead. This will be a full-time continuing position.
The successful candidate will develop strategic partnerships with local and regional community organizations that will contribute to CBU’s brand strength and growth as a recognized and reputable university. The CEL will engage education stakeholders for the purpose of recruiting students in high school, mature students, and “stopped out” students. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and nurture relationships with students both on campus and in communities for the purposes of increasing enrolment of Indigenous students. The successful candidate will also work with the team at Unama’ki College, specifically the In-Community Program Director, Enrolment Specialist and Communication/Branding Specialist to identify and promote In-Community degree programs.
This position strengthens Cape Breton University’s community engagement efforts in the Indigenous communities, increasing CBU’s presence in the market, nurturing relationships with partner communities and institutions to establish and leverage transfer pathways.
