DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, EVENTS AND SPONSORSHIP

CBU invites applications for the Development Officer, Events and Sponsorship. This is a full-time limited term position until approximately July 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing CBU’s sponsorship program, in addition to the coordination and execution of fundraising initiatives and stewardship/cultivation events of the development department. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in the success of the evolving sponsorship/partnership initiatives on and off campus and specialty events in the Development office.

Keys to this role will be opportunities to develop new signature events and inspire the community in 3rd party fundraising events. This role will support a variety of identified high priorities and critical special projects within the development department and across campus with a particular focus on donor engagement, sponsorship fulfillment and activation.

Some qualifications of this role but not limited to are:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Public Relations, or related field. An acceptable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership considered a strong asset.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising, sponsorship, donor stewardship, or event planning.
  • Three to five years experience in event execution and management.
  • Knowledge of fund development software will be considered an asset.
