Cape Breton University (CBU) is looking for an Employee Communications and Engagement Specialist. This is a full-time continuing position.
The successful candidate will be is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture. This role involves creating, managing, and delivering internal communications that effectively convey organizational goals, initiatives, and updates, while also promoting employee involvement and collaboration.
Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Communications, the successful candidate will work closely with leadership and various departments to ensure consistent, clear, and motivating messaging that aligns with the CBU’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan, ultimately building brand experience. The successful candidate will also work closely with CBU’s Human Resources Department on identified initiatives and serve as the employee brand voice of the university.
The successful candidates’ qualifications are, but not limited to, holding a Degree in Communications or related field. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. They will need to have a Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an internal/employee communications capacity. As well as having skills in Microsoft.
