Cape Breton University is seeking a Marketing Manager as a part of the Enrolment Management and Student Experience department. This is a Full time Limited Term role for approximately 13 months.

Cape Breton University is dedicated to advancing strategic priorities and enrolment goals through impactful marketing initiatives. Our Marketing Department focuses on enhancing brand awareness and managing communications effectively.

The successful candidate will provide strategic advice to senior leadership, oversee the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, and manage brand-building initiatives. This role requires a results-driven approach, effective resource management, and a deep understanding of digital marketing tools and analytics.

The Marketing Manager will offer strategic marketing advice, focusing on brand management and digital strategies. They will develop and manage initiatives that build the university’s brand, create and oversee marketing campaigns to support domestic and international recruitment, and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners. The role also involves analyzing marketing metrics, managing budgets and project timelines, and leading a team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Candidates should possess a post-secondary education in marketing or a related field (university degree preferred) and have 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, including proven expertise in brand building and integrated marketing strategies. Experience with digital marketing tools, analytics, and CRM systems is essential, with certifications in Inbound Marketing and Google Analytics being advantageous. Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
