CBU invites applications for the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner- All Ages. This is a full-time continuing position.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Counselling the Nurse Practitioner is an integral part of a collaborative health care team providing primary care to members of the CBU campus community. The successful candidate will carry out a full scope of practice and provide a broad range of services unique to a diverse campus community of approximately 8000 people. The incumbent will work alongside a talented team of nurses, physicians, social workers, physiotherapists, psychiatrists and administrative health professionals, as well as the staff and faculty of CBU. As a member of our team, you will be collaborating with the formal healthcare system and other off campus community resources to ensure members of the campus community have access to appropriate healthcare care, mental health resources, emergency care, diagnostics and specialist referrals in a safe and timely manner.

Using a population health approach, the successful candidate will provide onsite comprehensive primary health care services to clients at every stage of life that may include autonomous diagnosis and illness treatment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing and assessing medication effectiveness, as well as health education, health promotion and disease prevention while incorporating evidence-based knowledge into practice.

The hours and days of the clinic is expanding and there will be evenings and weekends required.
