Come from away? Get to know Cape Breton Island!

CBU is located on beautiful Cape Breton Island, which is consistently ranked as the #1 Island in North America. Cape Breton is home to a collection of vibrant communities and its friendly people and safe, welcoming environment come together to make it a destination of choice for travellers from near and far. CBU’s active Campus Life & Recreation offers many opportunities to get involved with classmates and the community.

Like most of Canada, affordable housing is a serious issue in Cape Breton. Housing in the area is limited and students should begin their search early.  CBU continues to advocate for affordable housing solutions.

Primary rental market statistics for Cape Breton are available for review, and students should budget at least $1,000 per month for housing and associated costs.
