In.Business Program

In.Business is a high school business mentorship program facilitated by Unama’ki College at Cape Breton University (CBU). The program introduces Indigenous high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12 to Indigenous business mentors whom are working successful professionals with an academic path and/or a background in business.

The successful applicants of the program will be required to join in for a 2 day on-line conference, a weekly-1 hour challenge for 10 weeks (set for 7pm – 8pm Monday evenings) and a closing in-person conference. Locations may vary throughout the Atlantic Region for the closing conference, more information offered with recruitment. Students must have a secure internet connection and device to be able to commit to all requirements above. The primary goal of these challenges are to help the students explore various facets of Indigenous business. The overall program goal is developed to deliver new insights and aid in creating informed decisions about future paths in understanding abundance of self; identity, confidence, trust and belief. Students will learn about the importance of relating, lasting relationships, respect and honour.

Currently, In.Business is operating an Atlantic Canadian-based program that includes students and mentors from: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
