Tuesday, February 1, marks the beginning of Lunar New Year, a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year…
Sunday, January 22, 2023, is Lunar New Year, a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunar calendar, celebrated by Asian countries such as Vietnam, China and Korea, to name a few. This year is the Year of the Rabbit, symbolizing longevity, peace and prosperity.
We are excited to celebrate Lunar New Year by sharing special Lunar New Year traditions in the Pit Lounge and sharing stories from students and videos that will help our students and community understand the meaning behind Lunar New Year and the special traditions associated with it.
From everyone at Cape Breton University, Happy Lunar New Year!
