A Show, A ring, A meal – Who wouldn’t want to go?
This Mother’s Day, the Cape Breton University Boardmore Theatre invites you to experience an entertaining show featuring the best known and loved Broadway songs. The show hits the stage at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 13.
“Broadway Showstoppers is an exciting collection of some of Broadway’s most thrilling music including songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Cats, Chicago and many others. This is definitely a perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day,” says Director, Paul Gatchell.
Gatchell will also perform in the Mother’s Day special. Gatchell is a well-known singer and actor who spent the last 10 years performing in many of Canada’s larger theatres as Phantom in Phantom of the Opera.
As a bonus, patrons’ tickets will be entered into a ballot box for a chance to win a custom made, hand forged, white and yellow gold family ring, finished with the winner’s family gemstones. The ring is made in Cape Breton by creative genius, Rob Bowden. The draw will take place during the evening show.
“The show is the first for the Boardmore and we are looking at making it an annual event,” says Todd Hiscock, Boardmore Playhouse Director.
Tickets are $20 each and are available as of April 24 at the Boardmore Box Office which is open 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
