Join us at the CBU Library Lounge (first floor) for a special display of the Ukrainian Exhibit, featuring five panels that highlight the story of the Ukrainian community in Unama’ki – Cape Breton, with a focus on the relationships between Ukrainian settlers and local Mi’kmaq communities. It also showcases the vital roles Ukrainian women and girls have played in shaping and sustaining our vibrant community. This exhibit has been made possible through the collaboration of CBU faculty and staff and co-researchers from the local Ukrainian community.
The panels are on display at the CBU Library Lounge (first floor) until the end of October and, thereafter, will be permanently housed in the Ukrainian Parish Hall (49 West St, Sydney), where the story of the Ukrainian community will continue to be shared.
