Cape Breton University and Northlands College Sign MOA to Deliver MBA Program in Northern Saskatchewan

Cape Breton University and Northlands College have signed a Memorandum of Agreement to deliver the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (MBA in CED) program at Northlands College in La Ronge Saskatchewan. The program aims to offer a high-quality graduate degree opportunity for leaders and administrators across Northern Saskatchewan.

“The MBA program at Cape Breton University is uniquely focused on Community Economic Development, and as the only MBA in Canada with community economic development at its core, it’s a program for people who want to make a true difference where they live and work,” says David Dingwall, President and Vice-Chancellor of Cape Breton University. “We are proud to partner with Northlands College, an institution that shares our passion for empowering learners and fostering innovation, to bring our MBA to Northern Saskatchewan.”

The MBA in CED will commence its first cohort at Northlands College in January 2025. Its curriculum includes the fundamental business subjects found in traditional MBA programs, with a special focus on applying business and management concepts through the lens of community economic development.  The program will be delivered in a weekend format designed to accommodate working professionals.
