On Saturday, October 26, Cape Breton University will host their 2024 Open House to give prospective Canadian students an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, alumni and future students, explore the campus and learn more about CBU’s programs, services and resources.
The event, which will be held on campus from 12:00-3:00pm, will feature information tables, guided tours, a glimpse into the growing campus and for those who register before the event, a chance to win great prizes such as a $5,000 tuition waiver or a MacBook Air.
“Open House is one of the University’s largest domestic recruiting events each year,” says Matthew Brown, Manager of Canadian Recruitment. “It’s an opportunity for us to show prospective students what CBU is all about and everything we have to offer. What better way to do that than with a warm, traditional Caper welcome.”
Prospective Canadian students who attend the event will be treated to live music from local artists and light refreshments along with a free application voucher code when they pre-register. Students are encouraged to bring their families along with them to ask questions, visit key locations such as the Boardmore Theatre, Sullivan Fieldhouse and Library and see the tireless work being done to expand the CBU campus.
“There’s no better time than now to become a Caper,” says Matthew. “Between the newly renovated Canada Games Complex, the upcoming Medical Campus and the recently introduced Bachelor of Social Work program, CBU continues to move forward, break down barriers and remain at the forefront of innovation.”
