Cape Breton University is proud to announce the launch of its new podcast, Cape Breton Accents. Hosted by CBU President and Vice-Chancellor, David Dingwall, this podcast brings to life the stories of the students, alumni, faculty and community members who make CBU such a vibrant and inspiring place to learn and grow.
“I am thrilled to launch Cape Breton Accents to share the remarkable stories of our CBU community in a new and innovative way,” says President Dingwall. “This podcast is a celebration of the talent, passion and heart that defines Cape Breton University. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the individuals who make our institution so extraordinary and allow audiences to hear directly from them.”
The first episode, premiering on Tuesday, February 4, features an engaging conversation with first-year student Nolan Neville, a standout student from Sydney, Nova Scotia. Listeners will hear about Nolan’s experience in student government, his work in the Welcome Centre supporting new students and what he says makes CBU feel like family.
For Nolan, being the first guest on the podcast is a chance to truly showcase what it means to be a Caper. “CBU feels like family, and I hope my experience illustrates how true that is,” says Nolan. “I really just want people to know that there are endless amounts of possibility and opportunity once you make the decision to be a part of the family here at Cape Breton University.”
The podcast will be available in video format on YouTube and as an audio-only version on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. New episodes will be released regularly, offering fresh perspectives and inspiring stories from the compelling people who make up the CBU community.
